STB / Someco Pneumax Control Valve

£98.50

Pneumax Control Valve for STB and SOMECO Inline Welders

Usually located on Manifolds in the Base of the Machine

Older Valves Tended to be Gold in Colour, Newer Valves are Grey (Same Product)

Faults indicating a valve needs replacing include:

  • Large Air Leak

  • Cylinders or some operation of the machine not working as intended

  • Compressor working extra hard to keep up

  • Weld Cycle not completing

Valves usually Fail internally with the seals disintegrating and clogging up the silencers, usually there’s a pretty huge air leak but its quite well muffled

New Valves are supplied with New Silencers fitted and New Coils, As some very old valves had a different size stem so not all coils would be interchangeable

Its an easy bolt on change, unscrew old valve clean off manifold to avoid leaving any seals behind, bolt new one on and then swap power plug loosening centre screw to remove that

It is Quite common to find more leaks once you fix the loudest leak, there are usually banks of 7 valves in the machine (Depending on size) and they do tend to go at a similar time
